Global Minimum Tax??????

President Obama in a speech delivered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; “[W]e need a global minimum tax so that people have the assurance that nobody is escaping doing their fair share as part of a race to the bottom or having our tax code actually subsidized and facilitate people moving their funds to tax havens,”

I am no rocket scientist, but if you want companies (which are in business to make money), to operate in the United States, you might want to consider lowering corporate tax rates. According to a study by the Tax Foundation, America’s combined federal and state rate corporate tax rate is 39.3 percent. Putting that in perspective, if your company has a monthly profit of say $10,000.00 you give $3,930.00 to Uncle Sam to operate in the US. In order to increase your profit margin by say 10%, all you need to do is find a country with a 29.3% corporate tax rate, like say South Korea (28.1% in 2010), in which to move your company's operation. You also get a bonus for your move. You get a cheaper hard working labor force that isn’t forced to pay union dues, which end up buying television adds demonizing your corporation. No wonder we are losing our manufacturing base............
